Easy Halloween Appetizers
These cute little pumpkins are actually balls of cheese, covered in different spices. Here’s what you need to make them:
- 2 packets of cream cheese
- 300 g grated cheddar cheese
- 30g finely chopped roasted red peppers
- 3 green onions – finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- Nacho, paprika and black sesame seeds
Preparation : Mix all the ingredients well (except the last nacho, the paprika and the sesame seeds) and leave them in the fridge for about an hour. Meanwhile, mash the nachos and put them on a small plate. Do the same with the paprika and sesame seeds. Using a spoon, make small balls with the cheese mixture and roll them in the different spices. At the end, use a wooden skewer to make marks on the side of each ball and on the top for a pumpkin look. Place half a pretzel stick in the center of each mini cheese ball, then garnish with a small leaf of parsley.

As our goal here is to quickly and easily prepare a Halloween menu, we do not expect you to make a dough. Also, this year, Halloween falls on a Monday, so we don’t have time to make big preparations. In this case, mini pizzas are a great solution. To make them, take a pizza dough from the supermarket. You can also use slices of bread, tarte flambée or puff pastry.
Then add tomato sauce and decorate with the products you have in the fridge. You can use different cheeses cut in the shape of ghosts or use vegetables like peppers, cucumbers, olives, carrots. The latter should be grilled first, as they need more time to soften.

Besides being super monstrous, these cookies are also a healthy alternative to chocolate chip cookies. To prepare them, you will need the following ingredients:
- 250g cooked or canned chickpeas
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 60g maple syrup
- 120g peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- 70g rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- green food coloring and candy eyes for decoration
Preparation : Put all the ingredients except the candy eyes and the food coloring in your food processor and blend until smooth. Then add 25-30 drops of green food coloring and blend several times to mix everything together. You can use any color, I’m just inspired by Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
Now take a spoon and form the cookies. You will get about 26 cookies. Then, with slightly damp hands, press the cookies into a round shape. Bake for 16-18 minutes, then remove from the oven and gently press the candy eyes into your cookies while they are still warm.
