Since early May, the Val d’Europe shopping center in Serris has been welcoming a new restaurant, Italian Queen. First restaurant in Francethe concept was created by Jonathan Jablonski, the founder of Factory & Co. “We want to give an Italian-American identity to the concept by betting on the total personalization of the pizza”, explains the entrepreneur.
In place of the Exki sign, right next to a Factory & Co, this location in the restaurant part of the shopping center seemed to be the right choice. The new restaurant is spread over 250 m2 with 130 seats and remains open throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Service begins at 11 a.m.
To each his own pizza
In a modern decor retro-industrial stylecustomers can see their made-to-measure pizza prepared before their eyes.
Here, the Neapolitan recipes are entirely customizablefrom the Neapolitan dough (which ferments between 48 and 72 hours minimum), to the filling, through the base (tomato, white, truffle or pesto).
A word of advice: try to limit yourself to a maximum of 5 ingredients for a balance of flavors. The ingredients are halfway between Italy and the United States, from smoked scamorza to Parma ham, aged cheddar cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce.
The undecided can opt for one of the signature recipes, concocted by the vice-champion of France pizza Julien Antioniolli, and designed to facilitate the choice. We note the Queen Signature composed of truffle cream, mozzarella, arugula, Parma ham, burratina, truffle oil and hazelnut chips, which makes your mouth water.
The place is ideal for eating quickly: the pizzas cook in 120 seconds in an oven where the heat rises to 450°C! You can also order via the terminals until 7 p.m. In the evening, the service is done at the table.
On the price side, count between 10 and 20€ per pizzadepending on the ingredients chosen.
Ice cream, tiramisu: all the essential specialties of Italy
In addition to pizzas, Italian Queen offers Italian specialties : coffee of course, but also homemade ice cream, a tiramisu bar where you can choose this soft cake in all tastes: coffee, pistachio, Nutella…. Without forgetting the traditional antipasto to accompany a cocktail and the “Neapolitan sandwiches”, where pizza dough replaces bread. In the future, the concept could even evolve, perhaps with other pasta than Neapolitan.
If you can only eat at Italian Queen at Val d’Europe for the time being, the founder who joined forces for this concept with Eric Dujourd’hui (RD Finance) and Georges Meurisse (Atalante Group), is already ready to multiply this test restaurant.
