Comedian Yassine Belattar has received several death threats on his Facebook page. Malicious netizens also insulted him. Which forced him to make a drastic decision.

“Christchurch 2 would be a nice revenge for the Bataclan (…) Shaved heads that land in your theater, hihi”, commented a surfer under a pseudonym.

Having an armed soldier as a profile picture, this Internet user was very explicit. He warned the comedian and told him to protect himself because he was coming soon. Note that this is not the first time that this Facebook user has made threats.

Few days agohe had already announced to the columnist of “TPMP” :

“We are going to launch a small fatwa in the theaters where you (yourself) produce (…) You know more about kidnapping, it seems to me”

The Internet user was referring to an accusation made against the comedian. The fact is that in the past, a far-right journalist would have accused him of having sequestered him in his theatre.

Desires from elsewhere of TPMP

For his part, the columnist of “TPMP” regrets everything that is said about him. He can’t take any more threats and is considering retiring from public life.

“For five years, I have been the darling of the far right. But this time, I’m angry, the border has been crossed. We are threatening to blow up the theater in which I play (…) I am thinking of stopping my career, the conditions for playing in a safe way are no longer met. No diversity personality is safe,” he explained.

According to Yassine Belattar, all this unrest is due to social networks. For him, the anonymity of users favors “the extension of the extreme right”. Reason why those on the far left would be constantly threatened.

If the situation does not improve, the comedian could leave the country. He can no longer bear that his every move is constantly scrutinized. He would like to start a new chapter of his life in Morocco.

Indicted, accusations and clashes

In 2019, Yassine Belattar had to deal with justice. The comedian was targeted by several complaints of threats and harassment. Among those who accused him was comedian Bruno Gaccio. The two men had a slight disagreement while working at “The Big Show”.

According to what the actor said, Yassine Belattar would have made threats against him. He would even have told her that he was going to attack his family. What alerted him and pushed him to file a complaint. In front of the investigators, the columnist of “TPMP” showed up cash.

He admitted having made these remarks, but following incessant provocations from Bruno. According to him, the latter left him no choice. However, even though he made these threats, he said he never intended to take action.

During his hearing, Yassine Belattar was also questioned about another case. A case in which he is suspected of having threatened Kader Aoun. The latter claims, in fact, to have received insults and threats from the comedian.

He even handed over phone conversation recordings to the police to prove it. In these recordings, we hear the chronicler of “TPMP” make serious remarks. His interlocutor responds animatedly.

For information, the conflict between the two men was born out of a dispute over the sale of the Théâtre de Dix Heures. The comedian, who is a minority shareholder, accused Kader Aoun of having tried to buy back shares without consulting him beforehand.

It must be said that in recent years, Yassine Belattar has often been talked about. Not only for cases of harassment, but also for stories of clashes. In September 2021, for example, the comedian had a heated exchange with Éric Naulleau.
