“taking up known themes is a good exercise in style to find yourself”

Saycet is the musical project of Parisian composer and producer Pierre Lefeuvre, our guest today.
when comes out One Day At Home, his first album (2005), he is part of a deliberately melancholic and traveling electronic music trend. As time goes by, his creative work is refined and his influences merge into a personal approach that succeeds in linking a certain tradition of cerebral music and an openness to the general public.
Through The Windowen (2010) then Mirageen (2015) evolve the project towards a more timeless sound noted for its arrangement work. Regular tours in Asia, collaborations (with Juliette Armanet or Yan Wagner), feed Saycet.
His approach to live affirms his position as a pioneer, always in search of new aesthetic terrain, with a scenic device that uses video projection as a source of light and not as a simple visual illustration for a truly immersive experience.
His work of composition is nourished by a visual and cinematographic culture. In 2019, he signed his first soundtrack for the feature film A Real Man and gradually settles in the landscape of composers from pop music who collaborate with cinema. In the fall of 2020, we found him simultaneously behind all the music of The revolutionFrench series produced by Netflix and on an original soundtrack shared with Laurent Garnier for the documentary bastard lion broadcast on Canal +.
Invited for an exclusive creation project at the Palace of Versailles at the end of 2021, he is also behind two film scores including the first feature film by Noémie Merlant Mi Iubita (in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival 2021).
layers, Saycet’s fourth album, recorded in his new studio in the 11th arrondissement, presents his most accomplished work. A new long format shared between melodic piano pieces and powerful club pieces, as a way of assuming two complementary energies

  • The music from the film “Mi iubita mon amour” by Noémie Merlant, released last July (2022), solar and romantic music to accompany the birth of a love.
  • The album “Layers” released in 2021
