Three men stole phones worth more than 13,000 euros by breaking a window of the Apple Store on Place Kléber in Strasbourg, on the night of Saturday to Sunday. They were quickly arrested.
Telephones displayed on tables at the entrance
Around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, the bottom of a glass door in the Apple store, located on the ground floor of the Aubette shopping mall, was broken. Three men entered to steal telephones displayed on tables at the entrance to the store.
After ripping out the cables, the thieves came out with thirteen next-generation phones. Removed from their base, the devices began to ring, as required by the shop’s security system.
They tried to flee on electric bikes
In the rush, the individuals dropped some of their loot – some devices were recovered by the receptionist of a nearby hotel. They were arrested by the police as they tried to flee on electric bicycles.
The three men, believed to be 17, 26 and 37, were taken into custody.
