An Apple distributor in Asia would prepare its customers for the arrival of an iPhone 14 mini. Surprising…
One of the latest failed bets in Cupertino is certainly the release of the iPhone mini. With the iPhone 12 mini, Apple wanted to reconnect with smaller smartphones, which made Steve Jobs fantasize at the time. Unfortunately, in two years and two miniature iPhone models, Apple seems to have realized that public interest in small phone screens was far too meager to secure a profitable market.
According to most rumors, there should therefore be no iPhone 14 mini this year, with Apple favoring a Max model alongside the iPhone 14 Pro Max. But some still think that the iPhone mini isn’t quite finished and that Apple would like to give it one last chance.
The 91mobiles.com site thus confirms from a reliable source that one of Apple’s distributors in Asia and the Pacific has listed an iPhone 14 mini in the products it plans to stock from next month. The journalist Evan Blass, at the origin of the article, is nevertheless regularly well informed in terms of Android smartphones. He thus reveals this information, against the current of the other rumors launched for months by the Ming-Chi Kuo and other Mark Gurman.
4 iPhones and 3 iPads in September
“From a reliable source”, he argues that this Asian partner has drawn up a list of seven products that he will start stocking at the beginning of September for the release scheduled for the end of the month. There we find as follows:
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 14 mini
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 14 Pro Max
But also three new iPad models:
- iPad 10.2″ (10th generation)
- iPad Pro 12.9″ (4th generation)
- iPad Pro 11″ (4th generation)
The arrival of these new iPads is also to be taken with a grain of salt if we are to believe the latest newsletter from Mark Gurman. He assures that iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura are not ready yet and that Apple will only deploy them in October. It would therefore be surprising if new iPads arrived before the firmware was released.
