On August 2, a new food shop, La Pizza du luthier, opened its… window!
Located between the church and the Ehpad, the pizzeria only offers pizzas to take away. Frédérique Farjon, the pizzaïola, had the idea of transforming a room on the ground floor of her house into a kitchen lab where she makes and sells her pizzas through the window.
Why did you call it “La Pizza du luthier”?
This is in tribute to my lover. He did all the work and he is a luthier. Based in the Gard, he divides his time between Alès and Sainte-Croix-Volvestre. He has set up a studio and can therefore work here as well.
What are the ingredients of your pizzas?
I try to use local products as much as possible (cheese, charcuterie, vegetables, honey) and I favor organic products. For the month of August I worked well. I hope it will continue because I still have investments to make in equipment.
