This Wednesday, the American giant Apple presented its next equipment intended for the public and in particular its new jewel: the iPhone 14. While this model should be available for purchase in France from September 16, it should also be accessible in Russia, despite the Californian group’s decision to cease its activities there. The Russian Minister of Trade and Industry, Denis Manturov, thus assured that this new model will indeed be sold on Russian territory: “ Why not ? If consumers want to buy these phones, yes. There will be an opportunity “, he declared in remarks relayed by the news agency RIA Novosti.
Shortly after the start of the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, Apple had stopped its exports to the country led by Vladimir Putin, and limited some of its services such as the Apple Pay payment solution: ” We have stopped all exports to our sales channel in the country affirmed the group in a press release dated March 1st.

Despite this, the Russian power has found a way to allow the sale of these much-needed American products. In particular, Moscow has set up a parallel import program which allows retailers to import products without asking permission from the brand owners.
An iPhone sold more expensive than in France
This new phone model will reach colossal prices. In France, the first price for the 128 GB version should reach 1,019 euros. The Reuters news agency reveals for its part that the Russian operator MTS offers from this Thursday, September 8, the same model for 84,990 rubles, which is equivalent to 1,398 euros.

The Russian operator also points out in its offer that the delivery of the device could take nearly three months and that it reserves the right to cancel the order.
