After Chef’s Table: Pastry in 2018 and Chef’s Table: BBQ in 2020, place for Chef’s Table Pizza. Netflix will soon broadcast a documentary series on one of the most eaten dishes in the world, pizza. If you don’t know Chef’s Table yet, it’s a documentary series created by David Gelb in 2015 and has since been broadcast on Netflix. There are six seasons in total and therefore special seasons. After pastry and barbecue (and even a special season in France in 2016), pizza is this year highlighted on the streaming platform in six episodes.
On the menu for these episodes of this series on pizza, “the best pizzas from around the world, prepared by renowned chefs” promises Netflix. The idea is there to show the passion that inhabits the pizzaioli but also their hard work to finally manage to make a dish that seems very simple for everyone. The pizzaioli featured will be Ann Kim from Minneapolis (Minnesota’s Pizzeria Lola), Chris Bianco from Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, but also Yoshihiro Imai from monks in Kyoto without forgetting Italian chefs like the famous Franco Pepe of the Naples restaurant Pepe in Grani in Caiazzo.
The six episodes of Chef’s Table Pizza will be available on Netflix from September 7, 2022.
