Innovation & Startup: The new Apple Watch will measure the temperature

Since the arrival of Covid 19 in our lives more than two years ago, we regularly monitor our fever. Indeed, having a fever is one of the most important symptoms in detecting the coronavirus. As a result, Apple has decided to respond to user requests by integrating temperature measurement into its Apple Watch Series 8 watch.

A new feature

The new range of connected watches from the famous Apple brand will be unveiled in September. But we have already had some clues about the expected novelties. Indeed, announcements have been made officially by the American giant, just to keep impatient users waiting.

We thus learn that the Apple Watch Series 8 connected watch will be equipped with a new sensor. The latter is a temperature sensor that will display the number of degrees of the user. It will therefore be possible to know in real time if you have a fever or not. So when the temperature gets too high, the watch will tell you automatically.

User temperature measurement

This new feature is highly anticipated. It must be said that Apple has been working on it for several months already. Many tests have been carried out internally so that the results are efficient, and it is now done. However, you have to be careful, because the measurement would not be as precise as you might think. Moreover, it is recommended to consult a doctor or to use a real thermometer in case of doubt.

The temperature sensor will automatically be added to the new features of Apple Watches. On the other hand, it seems that the second generation Apple Watch SE would be deprived of it. Case to follow!
