Fnac-Darty: WeFix now an Apple authorized repairer

Fnac-Darty announced on July 1, 2022 that a hundred of the stores of its subsidiary WeFix are joining the network of Apple authorized service centers in France. This means that its technicians will now be able to repair Apple brand devices with official spare parts.

The household appliance and electronics specialist Fnac-Darty is taking a new step in its commitment to sustainability and eco-responsibility. Indeed, 150 stores of WeFix, its subsidiary specializing in the repair of mobile phones and tablets, joined the network of Apple Authorized Service Centers (CSAA) on July 1, 2022. Thus, the company’s 350 technicians will now be able to have an iPhone, iPad, AirPods or Apple Watch repaired with official spare parts. But this will be done after training in the know-how and use of the tools of the apple brand.

A simplification of the process with this approval

Announced last March, this membership will simplify the repair of an Apple product in France and Belgium. Until now, the waiting time before a restoration was sometimes very long. Within the brands of the Fnac-Darty group too, the procedure was carried out in several different and distinct stages. The operation therefore remained time-consuming. From now on, with the integration of Apple Authorized Services, everything will be centralized. From the purchase of Apple products to their certified repair, through the subscription of breakage and theft insurance (AppleCare Insurance).

An AppleCare Services support and repair program

Thanks to these repairs under approval, customers will be able to ensure the quality of the parts changed and the work carried out on their devices. Consumers will also have security guarantees on all features. In addition, the physical and online Fnac-Darty stores will be able to offer the AppleCare Services assistance and repair program from the Cupertino company. This program allows you to benefit from additional services for all the brand’s products. In particular, the customer has priority access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to Apple experts and can easily exchange a branded product. However, this certification may be accompanied by an increase in repair costs.

Consolidation of the leading position in repair

With this new initiative, Apple adds a network of 150 repair shops for its products as part of the AppleCare service. Its service will thus gain in strength of proposal. This oh so important expertise extends over the months. It now concerns home automation products. Hence WeFix’s presence at the La Maison de Demain event, organized in early June by Fnac-Darty. The specialized subsidiary had opened a workshop there to promote repairability and second-hand goods. She also took the opportunity to give useful advice to the public for better maintenance of the devices.
