Elizabeth II: one of her guards freaks out and yells at an inconsequential tourist (Video)

Tourists on vacation in London had the very unpleasant surprise of seeing one of Queen Elizabeth II’s guards lose his temper. What dissuade them from setting foot in England…

  • A tourist did not respect the protocol to take a photo in London
  • A Buckingham Palace guard put her in her place
  • The video went viral on TikTok

Loss of control. Buckingham Palace guards are famous around the world for their stoicism and calm. They keep their position no matter what, even if it means sometimes feeling unwell on the spot when the external conditions are too difficult. Only as with everything, there are a few exceptions… And a tourist paid the price recently, as shown in a video that has since gone viral. Posted on the TikTok account of a certain Ethan, the video shows the mother-in-law of the one filming being verbally assaulted by a Queen’s Guard. It is the mounted guard and it is after having touched the reins of the horse that the woman who was trying to take a photo suffered the lightning wrath of the guard.

While pull more and more on the reins to turn the horse’s head and having it next to her head for her photo, the tourist gets yelled at: “Stand back from the Queen’s lifeguard, don’t touch the kidneys!” Where “Get away from the royal guard, don’t touch the reins!”. An exclamation that surprised more than one, starting with the tourist who hastened to move away from the guard. If we tend to take them for motionless statues by dint of seeing them at their post, we must not forget that the royal guard is not not just to amuse tourists. The comments posted under the TikTok video of the famous Ethan also underline the attitude of the tourist.

Disgusted London tourists

Some of the comments include: “It’s not Disney. They are horses that work and serve the army” or : “It’s not a tourist attraction.”. Enough to dampen the overflowing enthusiasm of some tourists while the family concerned has already stated on TikTok that they will not “will never return to London again after this incident“. Many are still thronging the gates of Buckingham Palace to catch a glimpse of the Queen, but the chances of seeing Elizabeth II are very slim anyway, the Queen being more and more tired. And when he next travels on official duty, his mounted guard will still be there to keep tourists away – perhaps a little more calmly this time.

It must be said that the movements of the monarch are becoming increasingly rare, especially since she was reached by Covid-19 at the start of 2022. Elizabeth II still delighted her fans during her Platinum Jubilee, during which she made several appearances on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, surrounded by her family. After blowing his 96 candles and exceeded 70 years of reign on the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, Elizabeth II will therefore be absent from the 22nd Commonwealth Games which start on July 28 in Birmingham.
