Carpool Karaoke (Apple TV+) wins a fifth Emmy Award!

Series Carpool Karaoke has just won a new statuette on the occasion of the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, during the seventy-fourth edition of the event. If you do not know this sequence, know that it is broadcast during the show The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS but also on Apple TV+.

The concept, taken up by Camille Combal since 2019 on TF1 with Plan C, invites famous personalities to climb into a car with the presenter and then sing together on the way. During the show, the participants most often drive in Los Angeles but we were also able to see them in London, Liverpool or even New York and Las Vegas.

New record for Apple TV+

At its beginnings, carpool karaoke was broadcast on AppleMusic in 2017, when the Apple TV+ streaming platform did not yet exist. It was then that a first Emmy Award was won by the production in 2018, followed by another each year until today. In total, carpool karaoke therefore totals no less than five different Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards! To compare, Ted Lassoanother very popular series from Apple’s video-on-demand service, won three, but not counting three other classic Primetime Emmy Awards.

The original Primetime Emmy Awards honor excellence in primetime programming, where the Creative Arts focus on technical teams behind every content. Both ceremonies are organized by the same entity; the highly regarded Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the United States.
