TELEVISION – They speak for the first time since leaving the show. Bertrand Renard and Arielle Boulin-Prat, the two pillars of the game show Numbers and lettersspoke on Monday August 22 of a departure “constrained and forced”rejecting the version put forward by France Télévisions of a change of formula that they would have refused.
In a statement sent to AFP and Parisianthe two historical figures of the PAF give their version of their departure, and evoke “a situation of rare violence”.
“What is modestly referred to as a ‘contractual disagreement’ arose because FTV demanded a 60% reduction in our salary and refused to grant us the CDI that we had the audacity to claim”they say in the press release.
“Because yes, you read correctly, we have been on fixed-term contracts for 36 years for Arielle, and 47 years for Bertrand…”they point out. “We don’t exist even though we’re on the air every day. This regularization was flatly refused to us”.
On Friday, Alexandra Redde-Amiel, director of FTV’s games, variety and entertainment unit, announced the departure at Parisian. “We did not agree and we regret it”she said.

Previously daily Numbers and letters will only be broadcast on weekends at the end of the afternoon on France 3, with a new formula.
