Amazon’s annual savings event, Prime Day, begins on July 12, but there are already some great discounts. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem and looking for an Apple TV device, Amazon has you covered.
One of them is the Apple TV 4K 32GB 2021 model for just $120, which is down from its usual price of $180. The 64GB model is also on sale, and it’s marked down to $140 (was $200).
$120 (instead of $180)
The 4K version of Apple TV, as the name suggests, allows users to stream content from a variety of sources beyond Apple’s Apple TV+ in up to 4K resolution, provided they have a supported TV. However, the device doesn’t require a 4K TV, so if you’re thinking of upgrading to a 4K TV eventually, you can buy the Apple TV 4K and use it with no problem.
The Apple TV 4K comes with the unit itself, the Siri Remote, a power cord, and a Light to USB cable. The box has an Ethernet port and also supports Wi-Fi. It weighs 1.1 pounds, if that matters to you.
CNET sister site CNET reviewed the Apple TV 4K and found the new remote to be its most notable feature. The remote is also used to control games via Apple Arcade, which requires a separate subscription.
