Apple reportedly has quality issues, but nothing major

While waiting for the release of the next iPhones this fall, there are more and more rumors about them. And sadly, not all of the news relayed by leak and rumor sources is good.

For example, this week, the famous analyst Ming Chi Kuo evokes a quality problem that Apple should manage before the release of its smartphones. Specifically, some units reportedly have a quality issue with the lens coating on the back.

Another supplier should compensate

But the good news is that this issue is not expected to affect iPhone 14 shipments upon release. Indeed, Apple would only transfer orders placed with the supplier at the origin of this problem to another supplier, Lagran.

“The lens coating issue should be resolved within 1-2 months depending on experience”said the analyst.

In any case, this is not the first time that Kuo has mentioned problems with the production of the future iPhone 14 series.

“I have learned that some iPhone 14 panel and memory vendors have experienced supply issues recently, but this should have limited impact on the upcoming mass production of the iPhone 14 as other vendors can bridge the supply gap”had written the analyst in a tweet published this month of July.

In addition, in May, we also relayed sources indicating that because of the confinements in China, the development of the iPhone 14 series would have been delayed.

But for the moment, it seems that despite the problems faced by Apple, there are no plans yet to delay the release of the iPhone 14 and its variants.

Lots of new features for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max?

As a reminder, this year, Apple should release an iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Max (with a larger screen, instead of the iPhone mini), an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max should concentrate the main new features, namely a screen without notch, a 48 megapixel camera, a more powerful chip, as well as RAM memory which could be larger.

But as usual, since this information does not come from an official source, it should be considered with extreme caution.
