Every summer, Apple is working with its suppliers for the manufacture of the new generation of iPhone. This year is no exception with the iPhone 14. Production should thus start in the next few weeks. But faced with the many problems encountered in its supply chain, Cupertino has just expanded its list of suppliers.
According to Ming Chi Kuo, SG Micro has passed the quality certification for high-end iPhone 14 models. The latter will therefore logically join the list of companies that supply components for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The analyst indicates that SG Micro will handle power management ICs for 2022 iPhones.
Finally, the analyst recalls that it is a a first for SG Micro, which thus recovers the shipment of components for Apple’s high-end products. This new partner will also have impact on iPhone 14 production and shipmentsand at the same time reassure the brand’s investors and future customers.
