Everyone was waiting for it, it is now a reality. Chef’s Table, the most acclaimed documentary series of the moment conceived by David Gelb, is about to unveil a special season, entirely dedicated to pizza. A logical continuation after the successive releases of Chef’s Table: Pastry and Chef’s Table: BBQ.
If it intends to highlight necessarily Italian master pizza makers, in this case the immense Franco Pepe and Gabriele Bonci, respectively chefs of Pepe in Grani and Pizzarium in Italy, other cooks and craftsmen, from all over the world, will be also honoured: Ann Kim (Pizzeria Lola, Hello Pizza, Young Joni and Sooki & Mimi, in Minneapolis), Sarah Minnick (Lovely’s Fifty Fifty, in Portland), Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco, in Phoenix) and Yoshihiro Imai (Monk, in Kyoto). A total of six episodes to immerse yourself in the fantastic world of pizza and the many skills that surround it.
Chef’s Table: Pizza available from September 7 on Netflix.
